After you've become a member of Blue MedicareRx, simply show your ID card when picking up your prescription at any one of our more than 2,300** Blue MedicareRx participating pharmacies in Illinois and 55,000** Blue MedicareRx network pharmacies nationwide.
Mail-Order Pharmacy
You can use the Blue MedicareRx mail-order service* to fill prescriptions for any drug that is marked as a mail-order drug on the formulary list.
For more information about the mail-order program, or if you haven't received your order, please call 1-800-693-6705, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. CST, Saturday - Sunday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. CST. For the hearing or speech impaired, please call 1-800-693-6714.
You are not required to use mail-order prescription drug services to obtain an extended supply or maintenance medications. Some retail pharmacies, called Preferred Network Pharmacies, may agree to accept the mail-order copayment for an extended supply of medications, which may result in no out-of-pocket payment difference to you.
Preferred Network Pharmacies
With a Blue MedicareRx preferred network pharmacy, pay just two (2) copayments instead of three (3)! Visit any one of our preferred network pharmacies, or their affiliates, and save on a 90-day supply of eligible prescriptions. Among our preferred network pharmacies are CVS, Dominick's, K-Mart, Kroger, Meijer, Osco, Sam's Club, Target, Wal-Mart, and more.
Out-of-Network Coverage
Blue MedicareRx has formed a network of pharmacies which must be used to receive plan benefits. However, covered drugs are available at out-of-network pharmacies in special circumstances including illness while traveling outside the plan's service area where there is no network pharmacy.
